Vacationers may select from among 12 standard, one and two bedroom cabins and one, two-bedroom accessible cabin. Each cabin features electric lighting, a wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, and bath with shower. Cabins are equipped with linens, towels, cookware, utensils, flatware, dishes, drip coffee maker and microwave oven.
Many of West Virginia’s state parks and forests were conceived and constructed by the labor and skill set of an American work force known and respected as the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1933 – 1942.
The standard style cabins represent vintage Civilian Conservation Corps construction by SP-67, Camp White Sulphur – 1935, Co. 549 . From the flooring and walls to the flag stone walkways, these units are traditional state park and forest vacation treasures.
Cots and cribs may be rented at an additional charge and may be reserved in advance to avoid a handling fee.
Greenbrier State Forest cabins open the second Friday in April and close October 31.
Check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m.
